Hello, Family!

Pretty chilly outside, but pretty warm in the barn this past Saturday for the Indoor Team Washers Tournament! We had six teams competing for the BRACELET and prizes, and we all had a great time enjoying it. Congrats to the team of Kevin and Ted for taking home the gold medals! The first BRACELET winners of 2018!

Next game will be the Free Poker Tournament. If you’ve never played poker with us on Friday nights, this will be your opportunity to try it! On Saturday the 24th, the tournament will be much the same, except it is FREE! We have dealers lined up to help new people, we have cheat sheets ready for order of winning hands, and lot’s of fun like we always do. Please know that those remaining on the final table, that it could last upwards of 2 hours or so. The last person with chips wins the BRACELET, alcohol, a medal, and a $20 coupon to buy in for ANY Friday night poker game in the future! This will be held on the dance floor in the barn, so no smoking (TV room is smoking ok, so it’s really close). Details will be spelled out in next week’s newsletter. Please join us!

Hot Tubbin' - All Day]]>Thu, 08 Feb 2018 00:47:02 GMThttps://www.thebarehideranch.com/blog/working-on-hot-tubCyril and I spent time working on the hot tub this morning. We found the major leak that has been alluding us. Tomorrow, when the weather is warmer, we will be sealing the leak and letting it cure overnight.

Friday morning, if everything looks good and there is no leak, we will be laying down the floor, recarpeting, and acid washing the hot tub. That way we can fill it and hopefully have it ready to go by Friday night.

Rerouting the electricity and the cold weather really put us behind in this endeavor, but we are hoping to hit everything right on schedule for this weekend.

Keep your fingers crossed for us. I’ll let you know. ]]>Tue, 06 Feb 2018 19:06:25 GMThttps://www.thebarehideranch.com/blog/accomplishing-the-listKevin is extremely set on accomplishing the list that he has presented to the Membership of Barehide Ranch.  As with any list, you find your self taking two steps forward...one step back.  Quit a bit of time and resources have been spent so far this winter on improvements that may not be so easily seen.

​There are also wonderful thing being accomplished that are very visual.  Remodeling of Cabin 1 and it's new covered deck.  Remodeling of Cabin 2.  The current remodeling of Cabin 3 and it's addition of a bathroom.

​There have also been some awesome and stationary grills added to the ground.  One near Cabin 4 (near the pool).  One within the tenting area.  One at Cabin 3.

​Most of you have already noticed that the Dancehall Floor was sanded and repainted with several coats of fresh paint.  

​This week, we also added new power operated towel dispensers to the Men's and Women's Bathrooms.

​We just completed running new electrical lines over to the pool area.  It is now totally separate from the Dancehall and can handle with ease the updates and parties that we will be having on the pool deck.

​There is sooooo much going on that I'm not even getting close to all the good things that are happening.  

This is my first BLOG and a "trial" to see how this goes.
